Instructor Policies |
This course syllabus is for an ONLINE section of ITSC 1401 for the Fall 2019 semester. The instructor reserves the right to drop any student missing more than two weeks with no online class or lab participation. "Attendance" is monitored as participation and logging into the course. Assignments are due on the dates provided in Blackboard and/or the online platform Cirrus. Students are responsible for completing any assigned readings, unit exercises and projects, and video viewings. Reliable Internet access is required for all online courses and many traditional courses. Computer failure and lack of internet access are not acceptable excuses for missed assignments, projects, exercises, quizzes or exams. DO NOT wait until the last minute to complete class work or exams. |
||||||||||
Attendance Policy |
Poor attendance is a leading reason for termination from a job in all areas of employment. With this factor in mind, the instructor monitors student attendance daily. In addition, course participation on a regular basis is necessary for proper skill development. All late assignments will be assessed a 30% penalty. No late work is allowed beyond one week after it is due. Students are responsible for completing all assigned homework and for being prepared for each class. Please note: There are NO makeups for quizzes or exams. If a student misses an exam, their lowest test grade (excluding the final exam) will count twice. If more than one exam is missed, those exams will be given a grade of zero. |

Academic Honesty | Academic honesty is expected from all students, and dishonesty in any form will not be tolerated. Please consult the LSC-PA policies (Section IX, subsection A, in the Faculty Handbook) for consequences of academic dishonesty. | ||||||||||
